Take the aerial cableway from 1,300 metres straight to the hiking area at 1,800 metres above sea level – what more could you wish for? The extensive and open basin of the Elsigenalp and Metschalp peaks on the Elsighorn (2,300 metres above sea level) and rewards those seeking a rest with a splendid all-round view of the Kander Valley and over the Blümlisalp to Lake Thun and the Niederhorn. The floral splendour of our mountain springtime and many Alpine cheese dairies that invite you to visit during the Alpine grazing period are well known. To cool off afterwards you may be tempted by Lakes Elsig and Brand, and don't forget a tasty barbecued local sausage!

Countless hiking trails, from short to long and easy to challenging, enable you to explore the mountain world. Whether crossing over to Kandersteg or the panoramic walk to Frutigen, we are a paradise for families and those looking for relaxation. Various mountain restaurants offer culinary treats and overnight accommodation. You can get to us easily from Frutigen or Adelboden by car or public bus service. Parking is free of charge here.
