Travelling by train and hiking – go to Grimmiwasser, the energy hotspot, and refuel

Apart from the Grimmimutz adventure trail, the Grimmialp holiday and day trip destination also offers a 3-person chair lift in summer and autumn.

A magnificent hiking area with impressive Alpine panoramas unfolds from the Stierenberg mountain station. We particularly recommend the walk to the energy hotspot of Grimmiwasser.

From Grimmialp, the chair lift takes you up to the Stierenberg area, from which you have a magnificent view into the distance. The wide Alpine trail has only a gentle climb as you go up to the Grimmi Alp. You will find small mountain lakes here. At an altitude of 1,840 metres above sea level, you will encounter "red springs" just off the path (the water is rich in iron). In former times, this water was used for healing purposes in the Grimmialp spa. Rare Alpine flowers and the springs are like natural energy stores.

At the latest when you reach Grimmi Alp, it is time for a quick break before tackling the descent. If you are lucky, you may see such wildlife as chamois. As you head back down into the valley, you will come across the Grimmimutz adventure trail.

Also, there are more recommended trails and Alpine pubs you can walk to as you come down from the mountain station. On Stierenberg there is also the ideal spot to start paragliding, and a landing place in the valley.
