Glacier 3000 – High level experience

Directly between Gstaad and Les Diablerets lies Glacier 3000, one of the most well-known and accessible glaciers in Switzerland. It’s only a 15-minute cable car ride up to almost 3'000 meters. This panoramic ride alone is in itself already an adventure. On top the view opens up and guests can enjoy no less than 24 peaks over 4'000 meters, including the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.

The best part is: Glacier 3000 is open all year-round and it is a unique paradise for excursions. Crossing the Peak Walk by Tissot – a 107-meter long suspension bridge, which is by the way, the only one in the world to connect two peaks – is an adventure within itself. Guaranteed to raise your adrenaline level even higher is a wild glacier ride on the highest situated toboggan run in the world – the Alpine Coaster. Other favorite attractions include the dogsled ride, a stroll over the Glacier Walk or the Snowbus tour. In addition to the 75 kilometers of signposted hiking trails and the Sanetsch roundtrip hiking trail, as the highlight for all nature lovers, it’s also possible to go cross-country skiing at Glacier 3000 in summer.

In winter 25 kilometers of prepared slopes, including the challenging and well-known 7-kilometer long Oldenpiste and Snowpark for freeskiers, await snow enthusiasts. Nowhere in the Bernese Oberland does the ski season last as long as at Glacier 3000. Even freeriders can enjoy the best conditions at Glacier 3000. Those who are hungry can enjoy regional specialties and international dishes at Restaurant Botta, designed by the star architect Mario Botta. Even shopping at 3'000 meters above sea level is possible at the Watch & Souvenir Shop.
