MAGNIFICENT BUILDING – TOUCHING MESSAGE
The grand community centre of 1784 in the centre of the village of Sachseln houses the Bruder Klaus Museum. The exhibition "Nicholas of Flüe - mediator between different worlds" offers a contemporary introduction to the life and works of the Patron Saint of Switzerland, who celebrates his 600th birthday in 2017. Admission includes audio guides in D, F, I and E. Attractive special exhibitions further enhance your experience.
You can reach Sachseln three times an hour with the Interregio or S5. The museum is just five minutes from Sachseln railway station or the lake path on the Sarnersee [Lake Sarner]. Guided tours are available for groups. The Bruder Klaus Museum Sachseln is open daily from Palm Sunday to All Saints Day, except Mondays. Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 13.30 to 17.00 hours, Sunday from 11.00 to 17.00 hours.
